Rebecca
Dear Unconditional Love - What would you have me know today about Rebecca?
Oh, honey. I saw you avoid asking me about her like the plague. I can see why you’d be afraid to inquire about this other presence of yours. What happens if you find out she’s a sham? Like you’re worried I am? Yes, I know you’re skeptical here, still. That’s ok babe. No need to pretend this isn’t a little weird or woo woo-y. Because, it is. It so obviously is.
The reason it feels so vapor-like to you is because you’ve been following the societal teaching that you must look outside yourself for answers to any questions or yearnings you have. It’s why Rebecca terrifies you. Who is she? Why is she around? Is it someone else you’re supposed to be listening to instead of yourself? That feels so enticing because it’s your conditioning.
What I can tell you is that I am not Rebecca. Rebecca is with me. We are a twin force here for you to call on anytime you want to look inside yourself for answers. We are always here with you. Not to tell you anything you don’t already know or wouldn’t already do, but to remind you of what you already know.
I know you thought of your high school acquaintance Rebecca the other day. Her dark hair, rebel vibe. Oh how reminiscent of your husband’s friend/former love interest that you have little interest in trusting. It feels eerily similar doesn’t it?
Remember when we talked about everything in life being a metaphor for life? That’s what Rebeca is. She is a reminder that you can find comfort in the things you used to be afraid of. Comfort in the things that used to intimidate you. You are on solid ground enough to welcome any threat into your life with open arms. With an attempt to understand rather than push away.
Imagine being on such solid ground that you welcome these historically scary women into your circle as one. They are you and you are them. You are capable of everything they have done and they are capable of everything you have done and are doing. We are all one here on this Earthside School, just passing through.
Imagine you in community with these people in another life. All the people who you feel intimidated or wronged by, dancing in harmony with you in a corn field in your past life. We all have so many lives so that we can recognize each other in the next lives. It goes on and on.
Rebecca has been with you in all of your lives and so have I. We’ve watched as you were a babbling brook, an orange leafed fall tree, a hopping cottontail bunny, a beautiful fairy in outer space. We’re all ALL of the things. What a beautiful fluid world we live in.
Danniel likes to call Rebecca your angel. A white wispy presence that is there for comfort and reassurance. Remind you of anyone you know? My name isn’t Rebecca, but I’m here with the same purpose. To guide you as you worry about your past (and your future).
Let both Rebecca and I be reminders of personas you once were, once belonged to, once feared. We’re all in this together no matter our interactions with each other. All in one Earthside community building the path we each are supposed to walk.
Keep walking, my love. Call Danniel for your birthday if you want. Drink some water. I’ll be there with Rebecca, Hope, Grandpa Red, Bogey, anyone you’re looking for or wondering about. We’re all out here dancing to the tune of the Otherside School while you dance Earthside. And we all love you so much. Keep dancing, my love. Go get your baby. Enjoy that Starbucks, babe.
We are all one. Yes, even those fucking mosquitoes… See that orb? There we all are, dancing.
