You Are The Lighthouse

Dear Unconditional Love - What would you have me know today?

Oh, babe. How much more do you feel me with you here right now? It’s quiet here. It’s quiet literally and quiet metaphorically. You have fewer noisy responsibilities here. You’ve chosen to leave your job, your unpaid job, your worries, your judgements, all of it at home. I’m so proud of you for making this choice. You’ve been so intentional about making sure you took this leap only when you felt ready. A lot of people wouldn’t have done that. You really listened to your body and your unique needs.

What an odd compliment you received this week. Or something you took as such a big compliment. 

“Wow, Lauren, you are so in touch with your body and your own needs.” 

That felt like a revolution. 

You’ve spent so long not in touch with your own body and your own needs. Even though you’ve recognized how far you’ve come, it’s tough for other people to see so it’s rarely brought to your attention from the outside. 

I know you felt a twinge of judgment from the commentary too. Why do you think that is? A free, unshackled woman is threatening, babe. But not because YOU are a threat, because the patriarchy, misogyny and capitalism that exist in Earthside School take hold of people as soon as they can. They take hold of people, not souls, though. Which means there is Hope for everyone. We all have our original soul that’s just waiting to be remembered. You’re doing such an amazing job remembering that little soul. 

Do you wonder if the things you feel you “recognize” are your soul recognizing itself in another? That could be true. It could also be that everything you see that touches an original part of you was meant to cross your path here SO THAT you could come back to your original soul in this way.

Intuitive eating is all the rage these days, but what about intuitive living? Now, inherently, intuition does have a bit of intellect and cognition in it. And that’s ok. We need our intellectual perspectives to guide us through this Earth School reality or else we would start living as if we’re already in Otherside School. We’re not there yet. But there is a place where you only live with love, unconditional love. You ARE unconditional love already, but it would be dangerous to live fully that way here. (And by dangerous, I mean, not conducive to your industrialized capitalistic society. Not dangerous safety wise. You are safe here, my love.)

That’s why you’re so excited when you recognize those things in other people, animals, scenic pictures, things, beings, etc. It reminds you that there will be a place where you live fully as your soul and your soul will then go on to live in another embodied living being someday too. 

But who are YOU then? That’s so curious. 

What a magical reality that you get to be all of those things during Earthside School - your soul, your body, your intellect, your magic, your mind, your spirit, your love, all of it. You are the embodiment of TTAT. That’s what’s so cool about this place. With all of your parts, you’ve become so many different versions of yourself. 

As you go, different parts of you are in the driver’s seat but YOU are the “gawd of your bits” as they say. You get to decide who drives and when. You’re the conductor here. The magician. Keep following your nose and coming back here if you need a little nudge. All conductors need a right hand that trusts them, is incredibly fond of them. That’s me for you. 

My nudge today is that you’re doing such a great job. I’m so proud of you for being on this trip. I love being with you as you enjoy your husband. Your vacations are some of your greatest memories together. Just as you all are coming back together, you get to keep coming back to yourself. And the more you do one, the more the other easily happens. It’ll be that way for all the important relationships in your life.

Keep being that revolutionary model that brings all other people back to themselves. I know you love doing it, and that’s for a reason. You are that lighthouse. I’m so proud of you. Keep listening to your own directions. Enjoy that pizza, my love. Sing your heart out. Cuddle. Finish the chocolate, and the firewood. But mostly, the pizza =)
